"Not Ashamed" | Part 2

Review briefly last week, and Sunday morning (use as opportunity to encourage some to come to SS).

Introduction

I am unashamed of my political party. I am unashamed of my bluntness. I am not ashamed of my friends. I am not ashamed of…

People are not ashamed of the things that they are passionate about. Consider this, maybe there are a lot of Christians who act/behave in ways that make them look like they are ashamed of the Gospel, of their Christianity, of church, simply because they are not passionate about it. But if that is the case, I would have to raise the question, if you genuinely believe the Gospel of Jesus Christ and are born again in Him, then why would you not be passionate about it.

Paul had plenty of things to be ashamed of:

He was a blasphemer (1 Timothy 1:13)

He was a persecutor (1 Timothy 1:13)

He was injurious (1 Timothy 1:13)

He was ignorant in unbelief (1 Timothy 1:13)

Paul had one reason to not be ashamed:

1 Timothy 1:14-15
